On August 12th in the early morning hours we received a call that Chris' father had been admitted to the hospital and was in critical condition. We packed up and had to leave the Loveland Sculpture Show midstream and head to Albuquerque. We are sad to say that Tino Turri, Chris' amazing Dad, had an inoperable tumor wrapped around his spinal cord that enveloped his nervous system. The only option was to say good-bye so once his entire family had gathered and said good-bye, Tino passed peacefully away on August 14th. Tino was a great man, a beloved husband to Bonnie, an amazing father to five men and two women and a passle of grandchildren. He will be dearly missed. We are glad that he did not suffer and may he rest in peace.
A special thank you to Loveland Sculpture Show and everyone who helped us tear down our booth at the show and load up before most of Loveland even woke up. Their staff and volunteers were kind and gracious and we really appreciated the support! And thanks to our neighboring artists who were kind enough to cover for us in our absence.
We were disappointed to leave the show early and know we missed seeing a lot of our collectors...we hope to see you next year or down the road at another show somewhere.
We are reminded each day how precious our time is together in this life. Live each day fully and never wait to share how you feel with someone you care for...
In gratitude, love and light,
Chris and Jan Turri
